ActionTalks National Speech Writing Competition

Congratulations to Lucy Carroll, TYC, who was chosen as a finalist for the Munster region in the ActionTalks National Speech Writing Competition. Lucy was chosen out of 134 students and was one of five who took part in the regional final by submitting a recording of her essay.
Her speech was a fascinating piece on vaccine inequality reflecting Action Aid’s goal is to provide support to women and children in developing countries. Though Lucy did not receive a place in the national final, the judges were very impressed with her research, personal perspective and said that it was well written in a very competitive competition. Well done to Lucy and her teacher, Ms. A. Power.
