Art, Craft & Design is offered at John the Baptist Community School as an optional subject for both Junior and Senior cycle. The subject aims to provide an opportunity for students to experience, learn and appreciate visual culture through the creation of fine art, craft and design. The subject supports the important development of personal qualities including initiative, perseverance, sensibility and self- reliance. It encourages reflection and analysis through general observation, investigation and drawing. Students prepare for a project based exam for Junior Cert. Art History and appreciation is integrated for Senior Cycle.
