BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition

Today is an exciting day for John the Baptist C.S. as fifty TY students travel to Dublin to support the eight projects that qualified from the school for this year's BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition. This national event is a feast for the imagination and science subjects, with students from John the Baptist C.S. looking at subjects as diverse as bio-metric fingerprinting to pesticides to the effect of music on sports performance to Coeliac disease. One participant, Patrick O'Dea, was interviewed for the BT Young Scientist Website and Twitter Feed about his project about biometric fingerprint scanning that could be used for credit card payments to combat fraud. See below for the video:

We wish all the students and their mentors, Mr. K. Buckley and Ms. M. Buckley, the very best with their projects.
