Congratulations to Ms. Mortell and Ms. Ryan, and their army of helpers, who staged a highly successful Charity Art Auction on Sunday, 23rd of April, in Shannon Rowing Club. With treats provided by Niamh Hough from The Messy Apron and Marie’s cheese and coffee, the beautiful venue was adorned with creations by Lawless flowers and Tullio Orlandi design. Diageo kindly provided refreshments and DaVinci Creative were also instrumental in aiding the success of the day.

The auction itself was an exciting affair, with large numbers gathering to look at and bid on the impressive range of pieces. A piece by John Shinnors, especially commissioned for the event, garnered much attention and amid a riveting bidding frenzy, sold for an impressive €730. Nearly €5000 was raised by the event, with those lucky enough to be successful in the highly pressurised environment, delighted to go home with a creative masterpiece or two!
