Two students from John the Baptist Community School in Hospital recently took part in the finals of The Apprentice Chef Competition in Tralee Institute of Technology on Thursday 11th May. This is the 5th year of the prestigious competition, founded by Mark Doe and Mark Murphy.
Bailey O’ Rourke Lane is a TY student from Ballylanders Co. Limerick. Louise McGrath is a Leaving Cert student and hopes to study Culinary Arts next year in college and is from Emly in Co. Limerick. Both students were mentored by chef Louise Brosnan from Ida’s restaurant in Dingle Co. Kerry and by their teacher Julie Sweeney.
