Huge congratulations to TYD and TYE and to their teachers Geraldine McNulty and Richelle Huley, who were awarded two prestigious awards at this year’s Frame of Mind Short Film and TikTok Awards.

We received 3 nominations in the TikTok category, a feat unmatched by any other school. Aisling Farrell and Caoimhe MacNamara walked away with the top prize for their excellent piece “Let’s Talk about Mental Health”. The judges praised the creative editing skills and onscreen contribution. The other shortlisted entries in this category were by Danielle Harris and Kate Hennessy

Of the four short films entered by these talented classes, Katelyn Moloney received the runner up prize in the Short Film category for their inventive “Mind your Mind” submission.

These awards look at the use of film as a creative way to challenge mental health stigma or show the importance of positive mental health.
