On May 6th and 8th, athletes from John the Baptist Community School competed in the North Munster Schools' Track and Field Championships. The competitions were exciting from start to finish. Many of the school's students placed in many of the events: 

• Sean McCarthy (2nd Year) Junior competition – 2nd in the 100m, 2nd 200m
• Kyle Dillion (TY) Intermediate Competition – 2nd in the 100m, 2nd 200m
• Dylan Reeves Wassik (TY) – 1st Javelin Throw

Well done to all athletes for competing so well. Congratulations to those who medaled, to those who tried out new events and everyone else that got personal bests in their events.
