The students are the life and soul of John the Baptist Community School. Every effort is made to ensure that every student, no matter ability or background, can fulfill their full potential in a supportive, caring environment.
The school is marked by the warm, caring, open attitude of students to each other. Every effort is made to make the school a place where every student feels accepted, appreciated and acknowledged.
The Student Council is a way students truly have a voice in the school. Please click here for more information about our Student Council.
A warm welcome is extended to the parents and guardians of students in John the Baptist Community School, past and present. The family, as the primary educator, through its commitment to the values of the school, shares the responsibility for the students’ education. Parents and guardians play a key role in the life of the community in the school and we welcome volunteers from the parent body to partake in the many activities which take place during the academic year.

A Community School is established within the terms of a Deed of Trust. The school trustees in our situation are the Presentation Sisters, The Archbishop of Cashel and Emly and LCVEC (Limerick/Clare Educational Training Board). They receive reports on the running of the school and ensure that the terms of the Deeds of Trust are adhered to in regard to the purpose of the school and within the requirements of the DES. The trustees are also represented on the BOM.
