Liam Passmore fought off tough competition at this years SciFest competition at the Marino Education Centre in Dublin to claim the SciFest ISTA Award. Competing against over 20 other Science Projects Liam's projected entitled "A Statistical Analysis of Whether Segregating Males and Females in PE will Increase Participation and Physical Activity Levels" assessed students attitudes towards their participation in various sports on the Leaving Certificate PE Curriculum. Liam interviewed various PE teachers, students and Sports Science Lecturers at DCU as part of his project and his intriguing findings drew great interest from judges, parents and teachers on the day.
