Many thanks to the huge number of parents/guardians and students who attended our post Junior Cycle Options Information Night on the 6th of December. The groups were spoken to by Mrs. Rafferty and Ms. Hayes about the evening and School Self Evaluation in the school and Mr. O’Donoghue spoke about the new Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement and Other Areas of Learning.

Over the course of the evening, students and their parents/guardians were taken through a series of workshops in relation to Transition Year, LCVP, Leaving Certificate Applied and the “traditional” Leaving Certificate Programme. In each centre, a short talk was given outlining the programme and students currently undertaking the programme were there to answer questions about the subjects and study.

Many thanks to all involved and who helped to prepare for the event, especially the students who attended on the night and all those teachers who helped to choose their subject representatives and prepared the various stands. A special thank you to Ms. O’Sullivan and Mr. Howard who organised the event and spoke on the night.
