World Home Economics Day hit the school last week, with the halls full of the magical smells and tastes of cooking and baking. Many events were held to mark this global event.

The Ready Steady Cook Competitions

1st years were given basic ingredients for muffins and mystery bag of flavourings. Some amazing creations emerged. 

It was a difficult job to judge the winners but the following emerged victorious:  

Sugar Craft Demonstration

First Years were treated to a Sugar Craft Demonstration with Nicola Donohue from recipes4success. 

2nd year cupcake competition 

Well done to Ewan Cunningham, Bethany Pym,  Aislinn Merrick and Ciara Ryan for their amazing creations.
