Today we remember our friend and colleague Billy Laffan.
Billy was loved by his students – the genuine sadness felt by generations of past pupils was deep and real upon hearing of his passing. He was profoundly passionate about his subjects and had such a broad knowledge could comfortably wander into countless areas. A perfect gentleman with enormous faith. A kindly soul who was fascinated with cars, music and tennis.
And “I’ll finish on that line there – More or less OK folks”
Sweeping hills and valleys deep
Changing trends and moving tides
Raging storms and trenches steep
In your classroom they came alive
