The Adams Family come to town!

Best of luck to our Transition Year students as they embark on two shows of this year’s musical “The Adams Family”! A riotous, hilarious tale of ghoulish fun and frolics, it is sure to delight huge audiences! Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, is all grown up and has a shocking secret that only Gomez knows. She’s fallen in love with a sweet young man from a respectable family. With his cherished Morticia in the dark, will Gomez manage to keep his daughter’s secret until the two families meet for a fateful dinner with hilarious consequences?

This is the culmination of many long months of hard work, even long days of singing and dancing over the midterm break. Well done to all involved, especially dedicated producers  G. McNulty, R. Hurley, A. Healy, choral mistress M. Donovan, and also the huge numbers working behind the scenes: on costumes under the careful eye of N. O’Toole, on stage design and painting with C. Ryan and S. Mortell, on set building/prop construction with M.J. English, W. Gleeson and M. Crehan, and backstage with J. McCarthy and I. McCaffrey. The school is hugely fortunate to have its own orchestra, under the command of G. McNulty; while many other schools have to hire in professionals, our very talented students practice day and night for months to provide a fitting soundtrack.

Friday night has already sold out but some limited tickets are available for Saturday night, from the school or on the door on the night!
