JTBCS’ entry to Junk Kouture 2021 is by Lisa English and Caoimhe McNamara with a dress called ‘Ice Cold’. Junk Kouture is a global platform to help unleash creative brilliance through a fashion competition which challenges students to create their fashion pieces from everyday junk.

They used an old curtain as the base of the skirt and twisted strips of plastic over a candle to make them into icicles. The top was made from broken pieces of mirror, the shoulder pieces were more icicles stuck onto hair bands and the headpiece was made out of fake flowers on a wire base and cardboard icicles.

Digital Regional finalists will be announced in June.
