“Protecting our Heroes” is a the student led initiative to help the wonderful individuals working on the front line in local nursing homes. The Student Council of John the Baptist Community School were inspired by the heroic efforts of those working in care facilities in our community and were shocked that some are struggling to have enough personal protection equipment to protect staff and residents in the face of the Covid 19 pandemic. To address this need, the Student Council is appealing to anyone who may have any spare PPE at home to drop it to their local shop, as they make their necessary food shop. All social distancing regulations should be followed at all times.

This student led initiative was conceived and pioneered by our amazing Student Council, and guided by the Student Council Liaison teachers, Ms. Liston and Ms. O’Donnell.
