JTBCS were 2-0 down after an hour but came back to level it up 2-2 with goals from Adam Finn and Conaill Stapleton. Newcastle West regained the lead on the 80th min but once again JTBCS equalized in the 84th minute for Adam Finn’s second goal to bring the game into extra time. Conaill Stapleton scored the winner in the 3rd minute of extra time to put JTBCS Seniors into the ½ final of the Munster Challenge Cup vs Davis College/St Josephs CBS. Special mention also to Jack Horan (Captain) who played a magnificent game in central midfield and led the team like a true warrior.
Three sporting commendations were handed out following the result to Adam Finn, Conaill Stapleton & Matthew Carroll.
